This is good basic recipe however I find it needs lots of additional seasoning and tweaking to taste. I add extra garlic, onion granules and quite a bit of salt and pepper. Then I add lemon juice and coriander, ground coriander if I have it, leaf if not. Actually fresh corinader might be even better.

I used fat free natural yogurt instead of quark which works really well. However, it was much too salty using the quantities recommended. Think I’ll try and halve it next time. May just be me as I’m not a big fan of salt!!

In reply to Heather May. I couldn't eat this it tasted awful for me, all I could taste is quark. Any other alternatives please?
