I really want to try these but my partner is allergic to egg. Is there any other way of making these without dipping the chicken in the egg then the breadcrumbs? Would milk work?

Could I use smash (mashed potato) instead of the bread as I have a wheat intolerance and can’t have wholemeal bread as the breadcrumbs?

Can I replace the lemon with chilli to make garlic and chilli Goujons or would that make the mix too dry?? Also do you freeze once cooked or raw after coating. Thinking of making for a get together with friends so would be good to pre make and put in the oven later to eat hot
